Backyard Bug Safari
You need
- A magnifying glass (optional)
- A clear jar with air holes
Let's play
- Look under rocks, in the grass and on leaves.
- Count legs: six for insects, eight for spiders.
- Watch quietly — what is the bug doing?
- Let each bug go right where you found it.
Grown-up tip: Ladybugs, snails and worms are perfect first bug friends. Look but don’t touch bees, wasps, ants or spiders, put rocks back gently, and wash hands afterward.
